Edmonton's getting a 216-unit apartment complex near a future LRT stop

An enormous 216-unit apartment building is in the works for Edmonton’s west end, and its prime location next to shopping and a future LRT station will make living here easy and accessible.
Construction is set to begin on a new residential development called Meadowlark Apartments, located at 8610 159th Street NW. The area is currently a green space, sitting on the corner of two busy streets in West Edmonton.
Its location will put it within walking distance to tons of shops, restaurants, and a health centre, as well as Meadowlark Stop along the Valley Line West LRT, set to wrap up construction in 2028.
The building will feature 216 residential units over six floors, as well as an underground parkade.
A building permit was issued by the City on December 20, 2024.

Few other details are currently known about the project, but it’s being developed by RMS Developments, which has constructed various multi-family developments across Edmonton and Western Canada.
Claroscuro Architecture is designing the project.
According to Alberta Major Projects, construction is expected to wrap in 2027.
