Three more coronavirus-related deaths reported at Edmonton care centre

A care centre in south Edmonton has seen an additional three deaths overnight due to COVID-19, The Good Samaritan Society confirmed on its website Tuesday.

A total of 15 residents have passed away at the centre due to coronavirus, and there are currently 48 active resident cases.

In addition, the centre has 16 active coronavirus cases among employees, and eight employees have recovered.

The outbreak that was previously reported at Good Samaritan Westpark Group home has since been declared over, and there are no longer any active cases at this time.

There are currently 1,557 cases in the Edmonton Zone, 279 of which are active.
