Edmonton Oilers fans will go to any length to support their team, even if it’s a permanent change to their body.
Playoff fever has encapsulated the Alberta capital as the Oilers now find themselves just a single win away from their second-straight Stanley Cup Final. Gamedays in Edmonton have turned downtown into an absolute zoo, and the Oilers are all too happy to indulge in the rabid fan behaviour.
The team has gone so far as to welcome in a local business named Red Loon Tattoos into Rogers Place to provide hardcore fans with free permanent Oilers-themed tattoos right on the concourse during home games.
If that isn’t diehard passion, then what is?

Getting temporary tattoos or even getting your face painted for a sporting event is not an uncommon sight at sporting events. At least with those, fans can easily wash them off after the game.
It seems Oilers fans are a different breed of fans, however. These aren’t the most complicated or large tattoos, but they are still permanent and will remain with these fans for long after this playoff run comes to an end.
That notion doesn’t seem to bother them, though, as a few took to social media to show off their new Oilers ink.

Oilers pride is at an all-time high in the city of Edmonton, and as the team gets closer to bringing home a sixth Stanley Cup title, it will only continue to rise.
