The first Nordic spa in Canmore is opening its doors to the public this week, and we got an inside look at everything they have to offer.
Everwild Canmore, formerly MTN House, is truly a mountain escape, offering elevated amenities, breathtaking mountain views, and a calming, serene experience all around.
The spa is inspired by Canmore’s coal mining heritage, so there are a ton of natural elements incorporated in the design. Inside, you can find a spacious locker room, showers, washrooms, changing rooms, and a salt exfoliation area.

You’ll also find their massage rooms, which are quite large, giving both guests and masseuses a more comfortable experience. There are both couples and single massage rooms available.

When you make your way outside, you will step into a tranquil courtyard surrounded by mountain views and all of the spa’s amenities.

Everwild Canmore offers hydrotherapy across five different pools, with three hot pools and two cold pools: The Plunge (15°C), The Drift (21°C), The Rise (39°C), The Ember Basin (39°C), and The Soak (40°C), all providing stunning alpine views.

Beyond the pools, you can find the spa’s sauna, called The Heat Lodge. You can take part in rituals guided by Everwild Sauna Masters. One of the rituals, Melt and Flow, is a peaceful experience, where ice mixed with essential oils is melted on the sauna rocks and sauna masters move the air around with towels, creating a chinook-like wind.

The spa also offers a Steam Lodge, complete with two rooms that have different temperatures and humidity levels. You can also find the Salt Lodge, a room that has naturally occurring salt infused in the walls, designed to help clear your respiratory system.

There are three tents scattered across the spa: two retreat tents with comfortable seating and a fireplace, perfect for resting, and the Commons Tent, which is a space for communal energy.
