Everyone loves Mama Stanley.

The Edmonton Oilers superfan, known for her elaborate Stanley Cup costume, has become a staple of Oil Country in recent years, thanks in large part to the team’s success.

Aside from the Oilers players themselves, there are few at any given time in Rogers Place who are as well known as Mama Stanley. As we learned on Wednesday, it isn’t just fans who know of her, either.

The morning after a Game 5 victory over the Anaheim Ducks, Oilers forward Adam Henrique chose to hit up what appears to be a Tim Hortons drive-thru. While he likely wasn’t expecting anything unusual, he quickly got hit with a big surprise.

When Henrique got to the drive-thru window, he was greeted by none other than Mama Stanley. The Oilers forward then took a selfie with his team’s superfan, where he can be seen smiling ear to ear.

“Nice surprise in the drive through today,” Henrique captioned the selfie, which he then shared on Instagram.

To no surprise, Oilers fans who have since seen the photo of the unexpected duo are absolutely loving it.

While the Oilers pulled out a big win on Tuesday to keep their season alive, Henrique wasn’t able to contribute. The 36-year-old suffered an injury in Game 1 and has yet to return to the lineup.

A timeline for Henrique has yet to be provided, but there have been no indications to suggest he’ll be back for Game 6 on Thursday. If he is out once again, he’ll have to watch and hope his Oilers teammates are able to force a Game 7, which would be played at Rogers Place on Saturday.
