Homicide detectives investigating after body found in Edmonton home

Homicide detectives are investigating after a dead body was found inside an Edmonton home on Wednesday.

Officers entered the home near 172 Avenue and 47 Street in the city’s northeast end around 10:30 am, and found the dead man. Nobody else was inside at the time.

“The death is being treated as suspicious, and homicide detectives have taken over the investigation. An autopsy has yet to be scheduled,” the Edmonton Police Service said in a news release.
