STARFest: St. Albert Readers Festival – Jean Teillet

YEG Stair Climb for United Way

What: YEG Downtown Collaboration challenges downtown Edmontonians to climb 22 flights of stairs – 440 stairs – in support of the United Way. The #YEGStairClimb can be attempted anytime between and 7 pm, plus participants will receive a button to show off their success. All proceeds go to the United Way of the Alberta Capital Region.

Pumpkins for Polio

Deadmonton House

What: Deadmonton House returns with the theme of New Dark Ages. The story behind this year’s theme takes you to into a world where a horrible epidemic has gripped the city. The Haunted House is open to all ages but recommended for children over 12 years old. No refunds are given if a child is too scared.

Alberta Ballet’s Frankenstein

2nd Annual Sterling Haunted Show Home

What: Explore the Sterling Haunted Show Home on both October 31 and November 1, with vendors, candy and more. There are no actors in the haunted house from 3 to 5 pm, and live actors inside from 5:30 to 11 pm. Parental discretion is advised.

The Haunted Castle

What: A spooky Halloween yard display and 400 sq ft charity haunted house that is also collecting donations to Edmonton Food Bank. The Haunted Castle is family-friendly – no gore – but organizers warn that some children may be frightened.
