Square Dance at the Hall

What: Square dancers of all skill levels are invited to do-si-do every Monday at the Hall. Solo and couple dancers are welcome, with new dancers and mainstream dancers from 7 to 8:30 pm, and mainstream dancers from 8:30 to 10 pm.

What: A group exhibition by artists of the non-profit arts organization PAINTER8, curated by Contact C.. Louise Burns

What: Vancouver songwriter Louise Burns, formerly of teen pop band Lillix, performs at the 9910 in support of her new album, Portraits. Louise Burns has been longlisted for a Polaris Prize, is a freelance contributor and host on CBC’s Radio 3, and has written for CBC Music, the Talkhouse, and Westender.

This Art Makes Me Feel

What: McMullen Gallery and Friends of University Hospitals present their latest exhibition, This Art Makes Me Feel.  Selections from the Collection of the Alberta Foundation for the Arts have been chosen based on their potential impact in the healthcare setting, and visitors will have the chance to share their feelings about each piece by writing a response on a post-it note.

When: Now until December 1, 2019. Closed on stat holidays.

What: Grammy award-winner Jason Mraz is performing in Edmonton on his new North American tour. The two-month tour, titled “Ladies and Gentleman, an evening with Jason Mraz & Raining Jain,” will see him perform 19 shows. He’ll be joined by longtime collaborators, Raining Jane, and will be performing songs from his sixth studio album, Know, was which released in August of 2019.

What: The second annual Taste of Home Gala is in support of RMHC Alberta and features six of Edmonton’s top chefs cooking an unforgettable meal for attendees. Last year’s event raised over $240,000 for families who call Ronald McDonald House Charities Alberta home during a difficult time of life.

The Ballad of Peachtree Rose

Rainbow Visions
