The Price is Right Live

What: The live edition of one of North America’s longest-running game shows is coming to Edmonton, and you could be their next contestant. This February, The Price is Right Live will be coming to River Cree Casino for several live shows. Contestants will get the chance to play games like Plinko, Cliffhangers, The Big Wheel, and the fabulous Showcase. Contestants can win cash, appliances, vacations, and possibly even a new car.

What: Inuit composer and throat singer Tanya Tagaq performs Qiksaaktuq, an orchestral piece conducted by Christine Duncan and dedicated to the lives of missing and murdered Indigenous women. The evening also includes Edmonton Symphony Orchestra Chief Conductor Alexander Prior conducting Prokofiev’s Third Symphony and Webern’s Passacaglia.

Edmonton Outdoor Skating and Ice Rinks

What: Edmonton has a variety of outdoor skating and ice rinks to enjoy during the season. City-operated ice surfaces are monitored and maintained daily and will be closed if conditions are unsafe. Make sure to bring your skates and helmet, and check the rink status and conditions before heading out.

City Hall Swing ‘n’ Skate

What: Edmonton Arts Council hosts swingin’ Sundays inside of city hall. Enjoy free live music from local bands and dance lessons led by Sugar Swing Ballroom. All ages are welcome and no experience is required. Attendees are also welcome to skate on the new fountain ice in front of City Hall. Free skate rentals are available on a first come, first served basis.

Ice Castles Alberta

AJ Mellor/Ice Castles

What: The magical ice castle in Edmonton’s Hawrelak Park features ice caves, tunnels, slides, fountains, and even a throne room. The shimmering wonderland was handcrafted by artists who used only icicles and water. Workers grew up to 12,000 icicles per day, harvested them, and individually sculpted them to create the ice formations, according to Explore Edmonton.

Wildfire at Rapid Fire Theatre
