COVID-19 cases identified at three more Edmonton schools

Edmonton Public Schools says three new COVID-19 cases were identified at its schools in the last 24 hours.

There’s a new case at M.E. LaZerte School, and 59 of that person’s close contacts need to self-isolate.

There’s also a new case at at Esther Starkman School, and 23 of that individual’s contacts need to self-isolate.

Someone at W.P. Wagner School also tested positive, sending 26 others from the school community into self-isolation.

Forty schools around the city are currently dealing with coronavirus outbreaks, including 24 schools that are on the province’s “watch” list because the outbreaks involve five or more individuals.
