New coronavirus cases were discovered at eight Edmonton public schools in the last day, according to a news release from the district.

One case each was discovered at Lago Lindo School, Westmount School, John A. McDougall, Hilwie Hamdon School, W.P. Wagner School, Queen Elizabeth School, Norwood School, and Victoria School.

Queen Elizabeth School is on the province’s “watch” list because it’s dealing with a coronavirus outbreak of five or more cases.

Norwood and the Victoria School both have outbreaks as well, though theirs are limited to four or fewer individuals.

The district says students who have to stay home and self-isolate will receive learning supports.
