This chocolate festival just outside of Edmonton is sugary sweet
You can be a part of this chocolate extravaganza just outside of Edmonton!
ChocoFest will be running for its second year in Sherwood Park this April. This festival acts as Alberta’s premier chocolate tasting festival as well as a two-day celebration of all things chocolate. In total, you can expect 28 diverse vendors from Canada, Peru and Denmark.
Whether it’s artisanal chocolates, chocolate bars, or other chocolate desserts, you’re going to have a mouthful of sweets before the day is over. Not to mention, you won’t want to miss all the family-friendly activities, including a chocolate chip cookie bake-off and more.
If you’re interested in entering the cookie bake-off yourself, you have until April 20 to enter your name to compete. Put your own recipe to the ultimate test this month; you’ll never know unless you try!

The festival will be running on Friday and Saturday, April 24 and 25, in Sherwood Park’s Millennium Place.
We’d recommend checking the entry times, as seniors will be getting first entry into the festival for a more relaxed, quieter experience. General admission entry starts at 5 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. on Saturday.
It will also be adults-only entirely on Friday night, so leave the strollers at home!
This year, the festival coordinators have changed a couple of things around for a better experience for everybody, including an upgraded pricing and ticket system.
To grab a sample and taste some of the chocolate, you’ll be looking to purchase a Taste Ticket, which is $2.50 each but starts at $12.50 for a pack of five. Be warned, however, that these Taste Tickets are only valid for samples and cannot be used to purchase products from vendors. They do not include admission, either.
As for admission itself, it begins at $16 and goes up depending on the day, time, and more. Children 12 and under get free admission, as well as a great time.
