Canadian Forces Snowbirds flying over Edmonton Friday afternoon

The Canadian Forces Snowbirds are flying over Edmonton Friday afternoon as part of Operation Inspiration to lift Canadians’ spirits during the COVID-19 pandemic.
People can’t attend air shows this summer due to coronavirus restrictions, so the Snowbirds are bringing the spectacle to Canadians. They’re in the middle of a cross-country tour that started in Halifax earlier this month and they’re headed progressively west.
The acrobatic pilots started their flyovers this morning in Cold Lake, Alberta and will land in Fort McMurray. Next, they’ll take off at 1:30 pm and head to Edmonton.
