An iconic street in Edmonton lights up for the holidays next month as Candy Cane Lane returns for another season.
Candy Cane Lane officially kicks off on Friday, December 13, and is open every evening until January 3. Lights will be on from dusk to 11 pm.
In addition to the dazzling lights, there will be sleigh rides, firepits, and food trucks on December 13 to 15, 20 to 23, and 27 to 29.

On December 14, 23, and 28, Candy Cane Lane will be closed to vehicles. Everyone is encouraged to take a little longer to enjoy the lights while walking, sledding, skiing, biking, or getting down the lane however they wish.
“As you stroll through the streets of Crestwood during the holiday season, you’ll find homes adorned with twinkling lights, colourful decorations, and the unmistakable scent of holiday joy lingering in the air,” the website reads.
“Candy Cane Lane has become a testament to the enduring commitment and creativity of its founding residents, who, more than 50 years ago, embarked on a mission to turn their neighbourhood into a winter wonderland.”
The event is free to hit up; however, food bank donations are strongly encouraged. Green donation bins will be set up along the lane to drop off your food bank items.
