10 artists we can't wait to see at Big Valley Jamboree this summer

The biggest stars in country music are returning to central Alberta this summer with the Big Valley Jamboree (BVJ), and we are so excited for all of the great live music!

BVJ is one of Canada’s most legendary and longstanding music festivals, and happens from Thursday, July 31, to Sunday, Aug. 3, in Camrose. Tickets for this year’s fest are on sale now.

“As we head into our 32nd year, we’re proud to bring globally recognized talent to our loyal fans,” said Big Valley Jamboree CEO Troy Vollhoffer in a previous release.

“BVJ is one of Canada’s most historic music festivals, and we are honoured to bring it to life each year. Country music fans deserve the best, and we truly feel that we have delivered just that for this year’s festival.”

This year’s lineup is stacked with some of the genre’s biggest names, and to help you get ready, we’ve put together a list of the 10 artists we can’t wait to see at Big Valley Jamboree!

Blake Shelton

Blake Shelton is known for chart-topping songs like “God’s Country,” “Boys’ Round Here,” “Austin,” and “Happy Anywhere” featuring Gwen Stefani.

The former coach on The Voice has plenty of awards under his belt, with multiple Academy of Country Music Awards, American Music Awards, Country Music Association Awards, Country Music Television Music Awards, and People’s Choice Awards.

Bailey Zimmerman

Bailey Zimmerman is a Country Music Association Awards nominee with hits like “Rock and a Hard Place” and “Fall in Love,” the latter reaching #1 on the Country Airplay chart and becoming the fastest debut single to reach the top spot at the time.

Jason Aldean

Jason Aldean is a five-time Grammy nominee with several platinum albums and chart-topping hits to his name. Aldean is back at BVJ for the first time since 2017 and is sure to get the crowd pumped with songs like “My Kinda Party” and “Whiskey Drink.”

Ashley McBryde

Ashley McBryde

With rave reviews for all four of her studio albums, Ashley McBryde has been on a roll over the past few years. She won her first Grammy Award in 2023 and also scored several Academy of Country Music Awards throughout her career.

Tyler Hubbard

The Florida Georgia Line founding member released his first self-titled studio album in 2023, which is certified gold by the RIAA. He’s also collaborated with Tim McGraw and Thomas Rhett, and co-headlined the 109th Grey Cup in Regina, Sask.

Nate Smith

Nate Smith’s debut studio album has been certified gold by the RIAA and platinum by Music Canada. The “Wildfire” singer also teamed up with Canada’s own Avril Lavigne for “Can You Die from a Broken Heart” in 2024, which became a Top 30 hit on the Billboard Hot Country songs charts.

Hunter Brothers

Hunter Brothers

Luke, J.J., Ty, Brock and Dusty Hunter make up the Hunter Brothers, a two-time Juno-nominated group from Shaunavon, Sask. The Hunter Brothers topped the Billboard Canada Country Chart with their hit “Lost” and have three studio albums to their name so far. The group headlines the Thursday night kickoff party on July 31.

Lindsay Ell

Calgary’s own Lindsay Ell was discovered by Randy Bachman when she was 15. Since then, she has opened for Shania Twain, topped the Billboard Country Album Sales chart, and currently hosts Canada’s Got Talent.

James Barker Band

Woodville, Ont.’s very own James Barker Band have six number one country singles in Canada on their resume, including “Chills,” “Over All Over Again,” and “New Old Trucks,” featuring Big Valley Jamboree alum Dierks Bentley. The two-time Juno winners have also opened for BVJ fave Dallas Smith on his Canadian tour.

Clint Black

Clint Black is a Grammy-winning artist with over 20 #1 hits on the US Billboard country charts. The “A Better Man” hitmaker has also appeared in films like Maverick and TV shows like King of the Hill.
