This new matcha spot in Edmonton will be making its mark at this historic location in the city.

The Hub on Whyte features a rotating calendar of pop-ups at their location in the historic Hub Cigar building, with some seating, a collaborative kitchen space, and inspiring eats.

“We know first-hand that collaboration is essential for small businesses to succeed. Our vision for The Hub is a welcoming space where culinary innovation thrives, and where Edmontonians can discover their next favourite food experience,” said Keith. “We’re excited to celebrate local talent and bring new energy to this historic building.”

So far, it’s held Beb’s Bagels and Balay Coffee, two successful pop-ups that have brightened this corner of the city.

Now, it’s time for something new: Big Bear Matcha.

With monthly feature matchas, like Bumble Berry Biscuit, a blend of mixed berry purée, topped with rich Biscoff drizzle and crunchy Biscoff cookies, it’s no question whether this spot will be a success — it’s a guarantee.

If you consider yourself a matcha fan of any sort, this place will absolutely be calling to you. The various flavours and fun the spot has with the drinks themselves are just a clear sign of how this spot will flourish.

Its grand opening in this new location will be on May 1, open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

If you want to make the trip out to Whyte Avenue to get a sip, you’d have our full support. Just mark your calendars for the 1st, you won’t regret it, folks.
