Who has the best Stanley Cup odds two months before NHL playoffs?

The 2024-25 NHL season is over halfway done and the playoffs are just two months away.
Who should you put money on to win the Stanley Cup?
FanDuel’s betting odds currently favour the Carolina Hurricanes and Edmonton Oilers, as they are each at +650 to lift Lord Stanley’s Cup. The Florida Panthers, who won the Cup last season, are in third place at +850.
The Hurricanes have had their odds boosted since the acquisition of superstar Mikko Rantanen last month. The Oilers, on the other hand, have looked like one of the NHL’s best teams with the help of Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl as they look to avenge last year’s Game 7 loss in the Stanley Cup Final.
The Oilers are an interesting pick as a Canadian team hasn’t been able to win the Stanley Cup since the Montreal Canadiens did so in 1993. That is 32 years without a Canadian winner.
The trio of the Oilers, Maple Leafs, and Jets look like the likeliest Canadian candidates to go all the way. The Flames and Canadiens are looking like long shots.
Looking elsewhere, the Dallas Stars (+1,000) and Vegas Golden Knights (+1,200) are joining the Oilers as the Western Conference teams with the best shot at winning the Stanley Cup. In the Eastern Conference, the Washington Capitals (+1,300), New Jersey Devils (+1,300), and Maple Leafs are next in line to the Hurricanes and Panthers.
