2 more coronavirus-related deaths reported in Alberta alongside 25 new cases

25 new cases of COVID-19 were announced in Alberta on Tuesday, bringing the province-wide total of known cases to 1,373.

There has also been two new deaths due to coronavirus, bringing the total number of Albertans who have died as a result of the virus to 26.

One coronavirus death was also announced at a care home yesterday by Alberta Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Deena Hinshaw.

According to the most recent data, 447 Albertans are also known to have recovered from the virus so far.

In the province, there are currently 835 known cases in the Calgary zone, 358 in the Edmonton zone, 66 in Central zone, 22 in South zone, 90 in North zone, and two that are currently unknown.

Instead of a live update from Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Deena Hinshaw, the numbers were updated online at 3:30 pm.

Premier Jason Kenney will be providing a televised address to Albertans on what to expect in the province in the coming months amid the coronavirus pandemic.
