Alberta reports 13 new coronavirus cases and no new deaths

Alberta health officials have confirmed 13 new coronavirus cases.

Since the start of the pandemic, Alberta has seen 7,057 coronavirus cases. The majority have been found in the Calgary zone.

As of Tuesday afternoon, no new deaths were recorded. This leaves Alberta’s coronavirus death toll at 143.

Alberta has also reported more recoveries. There are now 6,537 people in the province who have cleared their coronavirus infection.

Last week, Alberta made coronavirus testing available to everyone in the province whether or not they have symptoms.

The province hopes expanded testing will allow health officials to further understand the virus’ impacts, which will inform reopening decisions.
