One lucky Canadian beat the odds over the weekend after a successful lottery draw.

Saturday’s Lotto 6/49 draw had an $18-million Gold Ball jackpot for grabs. While no one won the top prize, a white ball was drawn, and one person from Vancouver matched the winning lottery numbers 16569634-01 to win $1 million.

The winning numbers for the Classic Draw prize were 09, 13, 15, 28, 41, 49, and bonus 43. Sadly, no one nabbed the top $5-million lottery prize, but someone from St. John’s did match five out of six numbers, including the bonus, taking home the second prize of $194,510.

The winning lottery numbers for the Classic Draw Extra prize were 38, 74, 84, and 91. Unfortunately, no one matched all of the numbers to win the $500,00 jackpot.

Canadian lottery players weren’t as lucky in the Lotto Max draw on Friday. The winning numbers were 03, 09, 13, 16, 18, 27, 29, and bonus 2.

The $10-million jackpot wasn’t won, and neither was the second prize of $142,502.50. Thirty-two Canadians did manage to match six out of seven winning lottery numbers, splitting the third prize to take home $4,453.20 each.

The Lotto Max Extra top prize also went unwon.

Fortunately, lottery players have another round of draws this week. Tuesday’s Lotto Max draw has $15 million up for grabs, while Wednesday’s Lotto 6/49 draw has a $20-million Gold Ball jackpot.
