Tenniscore is everywhere and these are the pieces we're adding to our wardrobes this season

May 20 2025, 3:54 pm

Tenniscore may have hit the fashion scene last summer, but it’s showing no signs of slowing down — and we’re totally on board. The country-club-meets-vintage-sportswear aesthetic is both comfortable and polished, combining all the things we love about our sweats with street style elements. Because there are no laws that say we can’t both look and feel good, we’ve sourced some of our favourite pieces so you can introduce the style into your wardrobe.

Define Relaxed-Fit Jacket

A classic style gets an update in breezier Luon fabric that feels relaxed rather than snug. But it’s still sweat-wicking, stretchy, and breathable, so you can comfortably run errands, play a set, or just lounge on the couch. We love the cinchable hem and thumbhole sleeves that’ll add a smidge of extra warmth if the temps take an unexpected dip.

Sporty & Rich Wimbledon Sweatshirt

It may be influenced by (and named after) tennis’s most ubiquitous tournament, but we could see ourselves wearing this classic sweatshirt for years to come. Thankfully, it’s also pre-shrunk — not to mention made entirely of cotton that’ll get softer with every wash — so it’ll keep its perfect fit.

Lab Grown Sapphire Tennis Bracelet

Mejuri

Aside from a kick-ass racquet, we think a sleek tennis bracelet is the best accessory for on-court activities. This one features cushion-cut white sapphires that sparkle as much as diamonds (without the hefty price tag), plus a dual-stage closure to keep it secured on your wrist no matter what you’re doing.

Offline by Aerie Keep It 100 Terry Oversized T-Shirt

Aerie

This style is lightweight and drapey, a.k.a. exactly what you’re looking for to top off your favourite sporty bottoms. Generous side slits allow for maximum freedom of movement, and reviewers add that it’s comfy enough for lounging, too. If you love a matching moment, grab yourself these coordinated shorts.

Legacy Crest Half Zip Polo

Roots

Marrying the sporty vibe of a half-zip sweatshirt with the polish of a classic polo, this lightweight topper is ideal for temperamental weather. It has a relaxed fit for easier layering and a “country club” vibe we plan to rock during all of summer’s outdoor activities.

Matchpointt Bag Charm

Aldo

You won’t actually need to play to pretend like you do. You can (obviously) clip it wherever you want, including onto your phone, pants, or your workout bag.

GapFit Power Polo Brami

It may look soft, stretchy, and sleek, but this polo top also offers a contouring fit that’ll support you during your serves, rallies, and backhands. When things start to ramp up, you’ll love the sweat-wicking fabric (also ideal for rocking on busy days when you’re bopping around town). If tennis ain’t your bag, it’s also an amazing accompaniment for low-impact workouts, like yoga, Pilates, and barre.

Danish Endurance Athletic Tennis Socks

Reviewers are raving about these chausettes — they’re soft, durable, and perfectly suited for all activities. Their longer length means they won’t fold or bunch up when you’re running around, but it’s their supportive panelling, breathable fabric, and cushioning that makes them worthy of a gold star (especially compared to other styles). No blisters here, folks!

Cotton-Terry Relaxed Fit Polo Shirt

Landing somewhere between an exercise shirt and a breezy top layer, this terry polo is all you’ll need this summer. Keep it polished by pairing it with trousers or a cute skirt — its slightly cropped hem is ideally suited for high-waist styles.

New Balance Coco Delray Shoes

New Balance

Inspired by tennis ingenue Coco Gauff, this pair of kicks is equally suited to courts and streets alike. You can expect improved traction on all surfaces (including slippery sidewalks), a nylon plate for better stability, and a special foam to boost propulsion, so your feet feel less tired after a long day — or a long rally.

TNA Tennis Sweater Vest

It’s cute both on and off the court! The sleeveless silhouette allows for maximum freedom of movement (translation: won’t restrict your serve), but you’d look equally on-trend pairing it with trousers, shorts, or your favourite skirt. We’re loving the three-dimensional, textural knit that combines organic cotton with a touch of cashmere for added warmth on cool summer mornings.

Goldbergh Active Racquet Club Cap

Though it’s designed (clearly) for tennis, we’re big fans of this style’s simplicity and polish. It wouldn’t look out of place paired with jeans and your fave tee, while keeping the sun out of your eyes — and your focus on your gameplay — when you decide to hit the courts. The adjustable back slider will give you plenty of customization when it comes to sizing, too.

Kotn Garden City Polo

tenniscore

Kotn

A classic polo will never go out of style, and this one is designed to go the distance. Its wide ribbing adds visual interest and fun texture to what might otherwise be a simple silhouette and, as a bonus, actually adds a body-con fit for extra support during high-intensity sets. That said, don’t be shy about taking this baby off the court, too.

Bezel Lab Grown Diamond Tennis Earrings

Mejuri

You might not wear these to play actual tennis (though you totally could — we won’t judge), but chances are, you’ll reach for this dangly set any time you wanna dress up your lobes. They’re likely lighter than your other statement earrings, too, so you can pop ’em into your second or third piercings if you feel like getting creative.

Zafra Grey Flat Brushed Suede Mary Janes

tenniscore

Maguire

Here’s our hot take: sometimes, running shoes or sneakers are just not it. When you’re looking for a stylish swap that’ll still help you nail that sporty look, we suggest these oddly fuzzy suede flats. Think of them like your favourite pair of slippers — the fabric is plush, the soles are flat and slim, and there’s even a petite buckle detail to add extra polish.

French Terry Classic-Fit Crewneck

On or off the court, you’ll love this sweatshirt’s meaty French terry fabric (fleece’s lighter, breezier sibling). The streamlined fit is an upgrade to looser, more casual toppers, allowing you maximum styling options — especially helpful when the weather is up to its usual springtime tricks. There’s also a women’s version (but we wouldn’t judge you if you simply stole this one from your SO’s closet).

Julien Poplin Pant

tenniscore

Reformation

They may look like court-ready track pants, but they’re anything but. You can fake the tenniscore aesthetic without actually stepping foot on a court by rocking these crisp trousers — they’re roomy in the bum, thighs, and legs, and neatly fitted in the waist. If you’re on the shorter side, you might like the Petites version of these pants.

Crosscourt Dress

tennis dress

Knix

Cleverly designed for low-impact activities, this sleek number has hidden shorts underneath for additional coverage (they have a side pocket for tennis balls, your phone, or other bits ‘n’ bobs). Going braless might not be for everyone, but the built-in sports bra adds extra support and styling options while the leakproof liner absorbs any liquid so you can play longer and harder.

Athletic Windbreaker

windbreaker

Roots

We love its genderless versatility, not to mention all its classic windbreaker features, like mesh lining and back venting to keep you cool and comfy on all your adventures. The relaxed fit can be worn over all your favourite spring and summer gear, and when you’re ready to take it on the go, you can fold it up nice and small. Did we mention it also has UV protection?

Perforated Narrow Waistband Tennis Skirt

tenniscore

lululemon

It’s time to play your best set ever. A narrow waistband and breathable fabric will keep you cool (no matter how long the game lasts), while the built-in liner features handy pockets for extra balls. That said, there are no rules saying you can’t take this chic skort off the court and incorporate it into your street style wardrobe.

Reebok Classic AZ Sneakers

If this pair looks familiar, there’s a good reason why. They’ve been spotted on several style mavens (including Sofia Grainge-Richie) and have a vintage-inspired aesthetic you might recognize from the ’90s. They also happen to be lighter than other sneakers, offering cushioning both in the soles and around the instep, so you can play harder, walk further, and do more — sans foot pain. We know this because we tested them ourselves on a 25,000-step walk!

Open Era Retro Tennis Shirt

tennis shirt

Simons

Cotton jersey is a fabulous fabric for warm weather, making this retro-inspired shirt a great addition to your summer wardrobe. Combine that with its fun texture, contrasting details, and crisp open collar, and you’ve got yourself a recipe for the perfect off-court outfit.

Cotton French Terry Short

shorts

lululemon

Sometimes, a skirt, dress, or skort just won’t cut it, so consider swapping those for a pair of ultra-soft shorts. They’re mid-rise (because no one loves a wardrobe malfunction mid-volley) and loaded with fun little details like a hidden card sleeve, side slits, and a cinchable drawcord for a perfect fit.

Varley Jane Court Dress

Varley

Are you warming up for a game, or just popping out for coffee? No one will know the difference when you slip on this chic number. Beneath the smooth recycled jersey fabric, you’ll find inner shorts, a fully lined top, and removable bra cups in case you want a comfier fit.
