Pornhub reveals Canada's top adult entertainment habits of 2025

Dec 9 2025, 3:02 pm

It’s that time of the year again when Pornhub unveils the latest data about what viewers in Canada are looking up on the adult entertainment site.

Each year, the Canadian adult online entertainment website publishes its “Year in Review,” where it shares insights on how viewer preferences shift over time.

“This year’s data goes beyond the performers and categories that captivated the most viewers, shining a light on emerging trends, international shifts, and unexpected spikes in search behaviour that transformed the adult landscape,” states the report.

“The insights reveal viral moments that captured imaginations, breakout performers who made waves, region-specific fascinations, and continually evolving attitudes toward pleasure.”

So what were Canadians watching on the site in 2025? Here’s a closer look.

In 2024, the most-viewed category in Canada was “lesbian”; however, trends suggest that interests are shifting toward another popular category.

“In Canada, they had enough of lesbian content from last year, and this year they couldn’t get enough experienced older women, with MILF leading their most viewed category,” reads the report.

And echoing the global rise in LGBTQ+ interest, other top-viewed categories in Canada include lesbian and transgender. As for trending search terms, Pornhub saw a 426 per cent increase in searches for hyperspermia, a 391 per cent increase in searches for sex bot, and a 376 per cent increase in Asian footjob.

In other relative categories, compared to other countries, Canadians were more likely to view small tits, virtual reality, fetish, toys, and blonde.

Nationally, the number one most searched term in 2025 was Asian, followed by MILF, hentai, and Latina. Femboy also jumped six spots as the 11th most searched term nationally.

In 2024, the top adult entertainer was Australian pornographic film actress Angela White; however, she’s now in the second spot and has been dethroned by another performer.

“For the first time in Pornhub history, the top-ranked pornstar is male: Alex Adams (number one globally and in Canada),” states the company.

Globally, after Alex Adams and Angela White, other popular performers include Violet Myers, Bonnie Blue, and Lana Rhoades.

According to the report, Canadians are spending an increasing amount of time viewing porn.

While in 2024, Canadians spent an average of 10 minutes and 26 seconds on the site, they now spend an average of 10 minutes and 36 seconds on the site, an increase of 10 seconds. Canada’s average is significantly higher compared to the global average, which saw a seven-second drop to nine minutes and 33 seconds. Viewers in Japan spent the most time on the website, averaging 11 minutes and 2 seconds.

Canadians aged 25 to 34 accounted for 28 per cent of all visits – up two per cent compared to 2024.

It turns out politics and parties can also significantly impact Pornhub traffic.

An April report states that the site saw a massive drop in visitors, as over 19 million Canadians took time out of their schedules to cast their vote. But once they cast their ballots, some popular Election Day search terms centred around Canadian-themed content, such as Canada, Canadian, and Quebecoise.

There were similar dips on other major occasions.

Canada Day also saw a nearly 17 per cent drop in traffic, and on New Year’s Eve from 6 p.m. to midnight, the site experienced a 41 per cent decrease in traffic.

Globally, interest in specific categories overlapped, while other interests were more varied.

The most searched terms were hentai, MILF, and pinay.

Due to age verification laws in the U.S., Pornhub has blocked access to several states. Despite this, the U.S. maintained its position as the leading source of traffic, followed by Mexico, the Philippines, Brazil, and Germany.

According to Pornhub, viewer interest went beyond “not safe for work” (NSFW) content.

The podcast category saw the highest growth with an increase of 327 per cent, followed by gaming (up 238 per cent), and music (up 62 per cent). Visitors also searched terms such as SFW (safe for work), which was up 114 per cent this year, SFW ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response), and tease SFW (up 43 per cent).

Sexual Wellness Center contributor Courtney Brame, educator and founder of Something Positive for Positive People, explained that the SFW trend comes from fans wanting to see their favourite creators, whether gamers, streamers, podcasters, or performers, in regular clothes, having a conversation.

“With the way we’re seeing people lean towards novelty, perhaps there’s a shift happening that makes people gravitate toward performers out of their role as performers and in a new context,” she explained.
