Act fast: Time is running out to claim a $64 MILLION Lotto 6/49 prize
A lucky Canadian is $64,000,000 richer but they might not even know it yet, and they could lose their winnings in mere months, too.
The Atlantic Lottery Corporation says time is running out to claim a $64 million Gold Ball jackpot prize from a Lotto 6/49 ticket for the April 15, 2023, draw.
The winning numbers are 93331474-01, and according to the Atlantic Lottery website, the ticket was purchased in Gloucester County, New Brunswick.
The prize can be claimed up to one year after the draw date and Atlantic Lottery says if no one comes forward to claim the prize and the ticket does expire on April 15, 2024, the prize money will go into the unclaimed prize fund to be redistributed to players in the form of future prizes.
“It is extremely rare that major prizes like this go unclaimed but there is still plenty of time left for the winner to come forward and we are very hopeful that will happen,” said Molly Cormier, Atlantic Lottery director of brand and communications, in a news release.
“Giving out big prizes makes for the most exciting days here at Atlantic Lottery and our entire team is eager to meet the $64 million winner and celebrate this record win with them.”
