
Easter long weekend turned out to be a very lucky one for several lottery players across Canada.
The Lotto Max draw took place on Friday, April 3, and at the time, there were 10 Maxmillions lottery prizes to be won. According to PlayNow, two people managed to match the winning numbers 3, 5, 12, 18, 30, 41, and 43, and 5, 10, 21, 24, 30, 40, and 44. As a result, two lottery players are each $1 million richer after purchasing their winning tickets in Logan Lake, B.C., and Quebec.
The Lotto Max jackpot was $70 million, but no one won the top prize. Two people in Ontario matched six of the seven numbers plus the bonus number to win the second prize. Each winner will take home $141,274.20. According to OLG, the tickets were sold in the Lennox and Addington/Frontenac area and Toronto.
The third prize will be split among 61 lottery winners, who will each receive $4,631.90.
In B.C., no one won the $500,000 Lotto Max Extra prize and similarly, no one won the $1-million Encore prize in Ontario.
The last time someone won a Lotto Max jackpot was on March 3, when they won the $75-million jackpot.
The Lotto Max jackpot continues to grow — the next draw is on Tuesday, April 7, and the jackpot is now worth $75 million, with 12 Maxmillions prizes.

Another Canadian woke up $1 million richer on Saturday, April 4, when they matched the Lotto 6/49 White Ball winning number 58581385-01. The ticket was sold in Ontario. No one won the Gold Ball prize worth $22 million.
Similarly, no one won the $5-million Lotto 6/49 Classic Draw top prize; however, someone in Quebec won the second prize worth $229,642.60. A total of 63 people will split the third prize, each of whom will receive $1,530.60.
There were no winners for the $500,000 Lotto Max Extra prize in B.C., and no one won the $1-million Encore prize in Ontario.
On March 11, someone won the Lotto 6/49 jackpot after they matched the Gold Ball prize-winning number 51022818-01. The winner became an instant multimillionaire, scoring a $44-million prize. According to OLG, the life-changing ticket was sold online.
The next Lotto 6/49 draw is on Wednesday, April 8, and the Gold Ball prize is now at $25 million.
