Young Canadian lottery winner axing student loan debt with the money
Student loan debt can follow you long after you’ve graduated, and one Canadian says she will be paying hers off thanks to a recent lottery win.
Rasneet Kaur won $100,000 on a $100 Ultimate Scratch & Win ticket.
The Albertan winner said she scanned the ticket on the Lotto Spot app, and then scanned it several more times to be sure she was seeing the amount correctly.

“I couldn’t believe it!” she laughed while speaking with Lotto Spot. “I told my parents right away, and they were so happy!”
Kaur said she is still paying off student loans, so the timing is perfect for this win.
“I’m going to be able to pay off my school debt and help my family,” she said. “I can’t explain the feeling — it’s just great!”
Kaur purchased her winning $100 Ultimate Scratch & Win ticket from Midway Esso at 7601 Henderson Way in Lacombe, Alta.
