For most winners, scoring a massive lottery prize is a once-in-a-lifetime experience — but that doesn’t seem to be the case for one Canadian winner who’s now on his third win.

If anyone knows the process to claim a lottery prize, it’s Nigel A. The now-retired school teacher first won the lottery in 2014, and then managed to score his second prize just a few years later in 2019, after buying a ticket at Canadian Tire.

At the time, the Dunchurch, Ont., resident had purchased a $10 Instant ticket and instantly became $250,000 richer.

But Nigel’s good fortune didn’t end there.

The 63-year-old wanted to try his luck once again by purchasing a $50 Instant Cash In Multi-Win ticket at his favourite store. While there, he decided to play his instant ticket, and when he saw the results, he couldn’t believe that he had won yet again, marking his third win in 12 years.

This time, he won the game’s top prize worth $50,000.

“I had my ticket validated and pumped my first in the air!” he recalled, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to claim his big cheque.

When asked what it’s like to be a three-time lottery winner, Nigel stated, “It feels surreal. I’m living my dream.”

The lucky winner said he already has plans for his windfall: he wants to buy an ATV and go on vacation in Honduras.

The winning ticket was purchased at McKellar General Store on Centre Road in McKellar.
