Canadian retail worker booking first-ever international flight after big lottery win
An Ontario lottery player is ready to be a jet setter after a big lottery win.
Hamilton resident Marsha Morash has been a regular lottery player with the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) since she was old enough to buy a ticket.
She enjoys playing games like Crossword, Bingo, and The Big Spin. Morash hit the jackpot, winning $200,000, thanks to The Big Spin.
āI played my ticket at home and noticed Iād won an in-store spin,ā she recalled, while gearing up for her Big Spin event.
Expecting to win $10 or $20, Morash took her lottery ticket to the store to have it validated. āI watched the animated wheel on the lottery terminal screen land on Big Spin, but I didnāt know what that meant,ā she shared.
The retail worker says she was nervous and excited when she realized she was going to spin the real Big Spin wheel.

“I never expected anything like this to happen to me. I canāt wait to spin that wheel!ā she said, beaming.
When the day of the live event arrived, Morash felt a mix of excitement and calm confidence. āI donāt feel that nervous anymore ā Iām ready! I donāt care what I win; I just want to spin that wheel!ā
Morash stepped up to the Big Spin wheel and gave it a good whirl. With every turn of the wheel, the suspense grew stronger.
āI watched it land on $200,000 and was thrilled!ā said Morash. āI wouldāve been happy just spinning the wheel, but winning twice the minimum prize was amazing! It was awesome having everyone there to cheer me on as well.ā
She has some exciting plans for her lottery windfall. Morash wants to invest in her future and treat herself to some well-deserved travel.
āItās time to get a passport and book my first flight!ā she concluded with a smile.
Morash bought her lucky lottery ticket at Fennell Convenience on Fennell Avenue East in Hamilton.
