One Canadian lottery player joked that he’s aiming for a third win after celebrating his second and even bigger lottery win.
Berthierville, Que., resident Gilles Piette is no stranger to winning.
In 2016, he purchased a lottery ticket and won a chance to appear on the show The Goose that Laid the Golden Egg. That’s when Piette experienced what it was like to win when he left with a $22,500 prize.
Probably because it brought him luck the first time, he recently bought another ticket and won a second chance to appear on the show on April 20, where hosts referred to him as an “experienced winner.”
It seemed like a second chance brought Piette even more luck. He was left stunned when he discovered that he had won a much bigger prize worth $403,000.

Excited family and friends immediately surrounded Piette on the stage.
“I won’t ask you if you’re happy,” said host Julie Houle. “We can guess that you’re happy.”
Houle laughed as Piette quipped, “See you in five years!”
He’s not the only contestant celebrating a second lottery win.
Sylvie Bertrand, who lives in Sainte-Cécile-de-Masham, Que., appeared on the show for the first time on Jan. 26 when she won a $32,000 prize.
Little did she know that her winning streak wasn’t over yet.

After buying another ticket the week of her first win, Bertrand recalled scanning her ticket on Feb. 2. To her surprise, she had won a $100,000 prize.
Bertrand said she would use her winnings to renovate her house and buy a new vehicle.
