
Several lucky Canadians celebrated major lottery wins over the weekend.
First off, the Lotto Max draw on Friday, Sept. 12 had a $16-million jackpot up for grabs. The winning lottery numbers were 02, 03, 07, 09, 13, 23, 41, and bonus 42.
Sadly, no one won the top prize. However, two players from Western Canada — one from Regina and one from Alberta — matched six out of seven numbers (including the bonus), splitting the second Lotto Max prize. They will each take home $76,087.90.

Thirty-six Canadians matched six out of seven lottery numbers, winning $4,227.10 each.
The winning numbers for the Lotto Max Extra prize were 23, 49, 70, and 71.
The top prize of $500,000 went unclaimed, but 37 Canadians matched three of the four numbers, winning $1,000 each.
There were more lottery winners after Saturday night’s Lotto 6/49 draw.
The Gold Ball prize was at $18 million with 26 balls in the draw. While the gold ball wasn’t chosen, the fifth white ball was drawn.
Someone from Canal Flats, B.C., matched all of the winning numbers 01962940-03, nabbing the $1-million White Ball prize.
The winning numbers for the Classic Draw prize were 13, 21, 23, 33, 35, 45, and the bonus number 01.

Unfortunately, no one won the top prize of $5 million. However, someone from Alberta matched five of the lottery numbers, including the bonus, taking home the second prize of $209,898.
The winning numbers for the Classic Draw Extra prize were 31, 52, 64, and 83. The $500,000 top prize was not won, but 42 Canadians each won a modest $1,000.

The next Lotto Max draw is on Tuesday, Sept. 16, with a jackpot that increases to $21 million.
The next Lotto 6/49 Gold Ball jackpot balloons to $20 million. There are 25 balls left in the draw, which will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 17.
