
Whether they know it yet or not, one Canadian lottery player woke up $1 million richer over the weekend.
The Lotto Max lottery draw took place on Friday, Oct. 3, and the winning numbers were 10, 17, 22, 30, 36, 42, 45, and bonus 33. Although no one won the $10-million jackpot, two Canadians won the second prize after matching six of the seven winning numbers and the bonus number. According to WCLC, the tickets were sold in Alberta and Ontario. With the second prize split between two winners, each will receive $ 37,154.45.
The third prize will be split between 24 people, who will each receive their share worth $6,192.40.
In B.C., no one won the $500,000 Lotto Max Extra prize, and similarly in Ontario, no one scored the $1-million Encore top prize.
The last time someone won the jackpot was on Tuesday, Sept. 30, when one lottery player won $15 million. According to Atlantic Lottery, the ticket was sold in Miramichi, N.B.
The next Lotto Max draw is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 7, and the top prize is worth $15 million.

No one won the Lotto 6/49 Gold Ball Prize worth $30 million during the Saturday, Oct. 4 draw. However, someone did win the White Ball prize worth $1 million after they matched the winning number 81845613-01. According to Atlantic Lottery, the ticket was sold in Newfoundland and Labrador.
The $5-million Lotto 6/49 Classic Draw Prize also went unwon, as did the second prize worth $285,613.30. A total of 86 people will split the third prize, each receiving $1,394.50.
In B.C., there were no winners for the Classic Draw Extra prize worth $500,000, and similarly in Ontario, no one won the $1-million Encore prize.
The last time someone won the Lotto 6/49 Gold Ball prize was on Aug. 27, when Quebec resident Claude Boucher won the $46-million Gold Ball Jackpot.
The next Lotto 6/49 draw is on Wednesday, Oct. 8, and the Gold Ball prize is worth $32 million.
