A pair of Canadian lottery players just became multimillionaires after winning life-changing prizes over the weekend.
One lottery player just scored the biggest prize over the weekend during the Lotto Max draw that took place on Friday, July 10. The winning numbers were 15, 17, 18, 21, 28, 32, and 46, with a bonus of 38, and the winner matched all seven to win the $25-million jackpot. That ticket was sold in Quebec.
The Lotto Max second prize was split between two lottery players — one in Quebec and another in Ontario — after both tickets matched six of the seven winning numbers and the bonus number. Split between them, they’ll each take home $77,292.80.
Thirty-six winners matched six of the seven numbers to score the third prize, and they’ll each receive $4,375.30.
There were 25 MaxPlus Prizes up for grabs, each one worth $100,000. Two winning tickets were sold in Clinton and Mission, B.C., and two in Ontario. No one in B.C. won the $500,000 Lotto Max Extra Prize, and no one in Ontario won the $1-million Encore top prize.
It seems like Quebec lottery players are on a roll. Before this weekend’s win, a couple, Joseph Gosselin-Rompré and Mylène Bourgeois from the Montérégie region in Quebec, were the most recent Lotto Max jackpot winners. They scored a $40-million prize in the June 26 draw and were returning home from a fishing trip when they decided to check their ticket.
The next Lotto Max draw is on Tuesday, July 4, and the prize is worth $10 million.

Although no one won the $28-million Lotto 6/49 jackpot, someone in Canada will still be walking away a multimillionaire after the Saturday, July 11, draw. The lucky winner matched the Classic Draw Prize numbers 05, 10, 11, 33, 34, and 41, with bonus number 25, instantly becoming $5 million richer. The ticket was sold in Ontario.
One lottery player from Quebec just became $1 million richer after they matched the Gold Ball Prize winning numbers 62263972-08.
Two other lottery players in Ontario won the Classic Draw second prize, and they’ll each receive $89,623.20, while 50 people will share the third prize and will take home $1,505.30 each.
In B.C., no one won the $500,000 Classic Draw Extra Prize, and in Ontario, no one won the $1-million Encore prize.
The most recent Lotto 6/49 jackpot winner was a lottery player from Ontario who scored the $12-million prize in the June 6 draw.
The next Lotto 6/49 draw is on Wednesday, July 15, and the Gold Ball Prize is worth $30 million.
