
Although there were no massive lottery wins over the weekend, one Canadian will still be taking home an impressive prize.
The Lotto Max draw took place on Friday, July 4, and the jackpot was worth $60 million. The winning numbers were 06, 14, 23, 31, 34, 35, 42, and bonus 01. According to PlayNow, no one won the top prize or the second prize worth $251,012.60. However, 42 lottery winners across Canada did match six of the seven winning numbers, thereby splitting the third prize. Each one will receive their share worth $5,976.50.
There were also six Maxmillions prizes, each worth $1 million. However, there were no Maxmillions winners during Friday’s draw. Similarly, no one in B.C. won the $500,000 Lotto Max Extra prize, and no one in Ontario won the Encore top prize worth $1 million.
On June 3, 15 employees from a car dealership in Trois-Rivières, Que., won the $20 million prize. Group member and dealership manager Mathieu Ouellet said he was very proud that his whole team showed up on time, given the circumstances. Each of the winners received a cheque worth $1,333,333.
The next Lotto Max jackpot is a big one: a $65 million top prize and eight Maxmillions prizes. The draw is set for Tuesday, July 8.

The Lotto Max draw may not have yielded any massive wins, but one Lotto 6/49 lottery player is now $1 million richer after a weekend win.
The Lotto 6/49 draw took place on Saturday, July 5, and the Gold Ball prize was worth $16 million. Although no one won the jackpot, one lucky lottery player matched the White Ball winning number 13998426-14. As a result, someone in Burnaby, B.C. will soon be taking home a cheque for $1 million.
The winning numbers for the Classic Draw were 03, 06, 15, 33, 39, 42, and bonus 18. There were no winners for the Lotto 6/49 Classic Draw prize worth $5 million. Two people matched five of the six winning numbers and the bonus number to win the second prize. Each one will receive their share worth $99,641.10. The tickets were sold in Ontario and Quebec.
A total of 111 lottery players won the Lotto 6/49 Classic Draw third prize, and each will receive $753.90.
No one in B.C. won the Lotto 6/49 Classic Draw Extra prize worth $500,000, and no one in Ontario won the $1 million Encore top prize.
The last time someone won the jackpot was on June 21, when someone from Ontario won $34 million.
The next draw is set for Wednesday, July 9, and the Gold Ball jackpot is worth $18 million.
