Who doesn’t dream of winning the lottery? That “what if” scenario just became a reality for one very lucky Canadian.

The Lotto 6/49 draw took place on Saturday, November 9, and the Gold Ball prize was worth $26 million. Even though no one won the top prize, someone did win the White Ball prize, making them instantly $1 million richer. According to PlayNow, after they matched the number 65245223-01, someone in Quebec is now a brand new millionaire.

The winning numbers for the Lotto 6/49 Classic Draw were 09, 12, 16, 39, 47, 49, and bonus 30. No one matched the six winning numbers to claim the $5 million prize. However, someone did match five of the six numbers and the bonus number, winning the second prize worth $216,302.10.

The third prize will be split between 69 lottery players who matched five of the six winning numbers. Each will soon receive $1,316.30.

The wins don’t end there.

In BC, someone matched the Lotto 6/49 Extra winning numbers 2, 7, 67, and 84, making them instantly $500,000 richer. That lucky ticket was sold in Vancouver. In Ontario, no one won the $1 million Encore prize.

The last time anyone in Canada won the Lotto 6/49 top prize was during the October 9 draw. The $32 million prize was split between six strangers who bought a Formule Groupe ticket, which allows you to purchase one or more shares in a group formed by a retailer. This one was sold in five shares and will be split between the six players, each getting $6.4 million. Read the full story here.

The next Lotto 6/49 draw is set for Wednesday, November 13, and the Gold Ball prize is worth $28 million.
