It’s been a scorching hot summer globally, especially here in Canada, but we have a cooler season just around the corner to look forward to.

While fall doesn’t officially start until Saturday, September 23, the new extended fall forecast from the Farmers’ Almanac is here, and it’s calling for chilly temperatures next season across most of the country.

“September looks like it will be a dry month from the Ohio Valley through the eastern US. Weā€™re expecting a wetter-than-normal month from the Great Lakes back through the Upper Midwest and northern Plains and from the Heartland down into the Deep South,” said the Farmers’ Almanac.

As for the Pacific Northwest, early-season wet weather will bring the dampness, while California receives closer to average precipitation, and southern Alaska and Hawaii are set to be on the dry side.
