Check your cleaning products — Health Canada has issued a massive recall for a stain remover brand sold across the country.

On Thursday, the agency released a recall notice on Angry Orange Stain Removers due to the risk of exposure to bacteria.

The bacteria can include Pseudomonas aeruginosa, an environmental organism found widely in soil and water.

“People with weakened immune systems or external medical devices who are exposed to Pseudomonas aeruginosa face a risk of serious infection that may require medical treatment,” explains the notice. “The bacteria can enter the body if inhaled, through the eyes, or through a break in the skin.”

Health Canada notes that people with healthy immune systems aren’t usually affected by the bacteria.

The company reported that 43,781 units of the affected products were sold in Canada and 1,390,834 were sold in the U.S. from March 2019 to December 2025.

As of Jan. 21, 2026, the company has not received any reports of illnesses in Canada or the United States, according to the recall notice.

The recalled product has an expiration date before 10-07-2027, which can be found on the back neck of the bottle.

The recall notice advises Canadians to “immediately stop using” the recalled product and contact Thrasio, LLC for a refund.

To receive a refund, you’ll need to take a picture of the product with “recalled” and your initials written in marker and email the photo to productrecall@angryorange.com.

“Consumers should then dispose of the product in its container with household trash. Do not empty the product prior to disposal. Do not attempt to recycle the product bottle,” advises Health Canada.

This isn’t the only recall offering refunds. Canadians can get a refund from Dollarama for thousands of recalled toys.
