Four Canadian friends who won $90M Lotto Max jackpot had a very cheeky group chat name
Four people from Calgary, Alta., are celebrating a life-changing win after taking home a record-breaking $90-million Lotto Max jackpot.
Eidelson Elchico, Lovelyn Malvar, Hazeline Ong, and Velna Ramirez are splitting the massive prize after matching all the numbers in the Oct. 20 draw. Each winner will walk away with $22.5 million.
The massive $90-million prize marks the largest Lotto Max jackpot in Canadian history. The win was discovered during the Oct. 20 draw, with winning numbers being 08, 15, 19, 23, 26, 28, and 34, and the bonus number was 38.
This massive win comes just six months after Lotto Max raised its maximum jackpot from $80 million to $90 million.
The four have been friends for five years, but this was their first time playing the lottery together. They purchased their ticket online and even gave their group chat a fitting name: “Manifesting Millions.”

The win came as a surprise to the group, with Elchico discovering the good news while checking his email. He quickly turned to the group chat to alert the others, who initially had a hard time believing they had actually won.
This isn’t the first big win for Canadian players. In December 2025, two Ontario residents split an $80.4-million jackpot, the largest at the time.
