Getting into yoga has its advantages; health, flexibility, stress relief. But if you’re not part of a tight-knit yoga clique it can take a little time before you find your flow.

Whether you’re a Youtube yogini, a studio junkie, or an actual pro, why not turn your Insta feed into a yoga pose library by following along with these top Calgarian yogis.

Camel pose is a secret weapon of mine because of its out-of-this world energizing powers. When we expand the abdominal region, open the chest and loosen the vertebrae in this pose it’s like a super health boost to the body system. The result is great digestion, a flowing respiratory system and strong spine so that we can go on all of our favourite adventures and live our happy, fit and cute lives at our highest abilities 💪🏻💜 • • • See you tonight at 8pm at @karmayogacalgary ✌🏻 📸 @marissamccann_photography #yoga #karmayogayyc #camelpose #yogapose #backbend #happy #cute #fit #onzie #tdme #mantramagazine #yogalife #yogagirl #calgary #yycnow #vancouver #california #sanfrancisco #kelowna #saltspringisland #sandiego #kamloops #lionlife #vernon #yogaretreats #texas #georgia #southcarolina #yogababe #stretch

When it rains it pours. Or does it? 99%of the problems you experience in life are fabrications of your own mind. When it seems like the entire world is changing around you quickly and you are getting left behind, take a moment, breath, and analyze your prospective. Life is busy, it’s chaotic and there are so many stimulants buzzing around. For me this means I get caught up in it all and overwhelmed by curve balls. It’s the shot that you don’t see coming that knocks you over. Perspective is everything. I can only speak to what I know. But what I know is that, despite “chemical imbalances” I have pulled myself out of bad mental places by sheer determination. You can talk yourself into and out of bad mental states all on your own. Nobody wakes up every day shitting rainbows, it’s a CHOICE. that’s not me saying it’s easy, but it IS up to you. Rather than looking at closing doors and standing there trying keys you know won’t fit, look at it as a new chapter. A chance to redefine yourself, your life, a moment for exploration. A loss is really only an opportunity. 99% of your problems are fabrications of your own mind. . . Ps: I am not very flexible

Not your typical yoga girl. Nicole practices yoga in plenty of unique spots, ever try yoga on a stand-up paddle board? Nicole has, and it’s awesome.

The coolest basic thing I can handle 😄 what a wonderful weekend of yoga, playing, self exploration and making connections with a wonderful group of like-minded individuals! 🙏🏼This yoga retreat was soo well needed, I’m looking forward to learning more and practicing this art when I can. I forgot how much of a high yoga can give you!🕉 2 things I highly suggest everyone try: 1- 🤸🏻‍♀️acro yoga (base and fly, regardless of your experience, flexibility, weight etc!) 2- 🏄🏻‍♀️paddle board yoga (it will point out exactly where you are compensating and holding your weight unbalanced so it’s a great way to improve form and practice. Plus it’s soo fun!) . . . . #acrolove#yoga#yogi#yogaretreat#strongnotskinny#yycfitfam#retreat#camp#canadian#fitness#fitgirl#yyc#fitfam#flexability#zen#medetation#chestermerecamp#rileypark
