Following a successful surgery at Rocky View Hospital, the Calgary-born wrestler posted a brief statement and photo on his Instagram account. The smiling Hart thanked his doctor, the nursing staff, along with his family and friends for their love and support.

On February 1, Hart released a statement on his official website detailing his battle with prostate cancer. This is Hart’s second health battle. In 2002, the former professional wrestler suffered a stroke which he wrote about in detail in his autobiography, Hitman: My Real Life In The Cartoon World of Wrestling. After his full recovery, he was named the March of Dimes Canada spokesperson in 2007.

The 58-year-old is a seven-time wrestling world champion, and a hero to fans around the world.
