Just because it’s cold out doesn’t mean the bikes need to be locked up in storage. Winterpalooza returns to Calgary for its third year, shedding light on the idea that cycling in winter can be fun.

A community-driven festival put on by the organizers of Cyclepalooza, Winterpalooza is completely volunteer-directed and is meant to bring people together in the same way the spontaneous and wacky event does in the summer.

Each year, the festival brings unique events, as anyone who wants to can host one, so be sure to keep up to date to know what’s happening. There are several events you can always count on though, like the winter bike scavenger hunt, the annual polar run, and the photo booth.
