Good news for anyone currently on the hunt for a job.
YYC’s newest and largest Winners location will be opening at Southcentre Mall this spring, creating 40-60 jobs for Calgarians.
Many organizations continue to downsize as they weather the storm of the pandemic, and in a recent report, Statistics Canada stated that the economy suffered the loss of 213,000 jobs in January 2021 alone, leading to the country’s highest unemployment rate in five months.
In the midst of this, the Winners job fair program will provide a much-needed injection into Calgary’s job market.

“We are pleased to be able to offer Calgarians the chance to discover new employment opportunities in the retail sector,” says Jason Bos, General Manager at Southcentre Mall.
“Initiatives like this job fair play a key role in strengthening the important connections between commerce and community while simultaneously bolstering the local economy. This is something we are proud to be a part of.”
Postings for both full- and part-time positions are available online, and those interested are invited to submit applications now through February 21.
Winners will pre-screen all submissions and will then be holding an in-person job fair for selected applicants at Southcentre Mall from February 22 to 28, by appointment only.

The new store will occupy 43,810 sq ft of prime real estate – nearly 20% of the 234,108 sq ft space in which Sears once resided.
Upon opening, shoppers will have access to the store’s signature selection of great value brand-name apparel, accessories and footwear.
“We are very excited about the grand opening of our new location in Calgary,” says Erin O’Brien, Winners spokesperson. “With new items arriving in-store daily, the store will offer shoppers an exciting destination with irresistible finds at exceptional prices.”
Calgary’s largest Winners location is set to open later this spring.
