Jun 9 2017, 12:57 am

The annual Calgary Canada Day Fireworks will be lighting up the sky from the Centre Street Bridge again this year.

Canada Day celebrations will be on going all day around the city and fireworks will commence around 11 pm.

Where to watch Canada Day 2017 Fireworks in Calgary

Crescent Heights Hill

The best spot to see fireworks up close and at a perfect vantage point over Centre Street Bridge is Crescent Heights Hill. The neighbourhood is in the northwest and northeast quadrants of Calgary, and is located in the inner city, by Memorial Drive and the Bow River.

Sien Lok Park (Riverfront Avenue & 1 Street SW)

This iconic park along Riverfront Avenue is flanked by two Chinese lions. This spot will be the closest you can get to the fireworks with a ground level view.

Shaganappi Golf Course (1200 26th Street SW)

The. 10th, hole. We don’t need to say much more than that. With an epic view of the city in general, the golf course would be a great spot to celebrate Canada’s 150… just make sure you’re not trespassing.

Nose Hill Park (5620 14th Street NW)

All the way up in the cities northwest this little gem is further out but great for some lights in the distance. Stay away from the madness downtown and see the light show.

Tom Campbell’s Hill Park (25 St Georges Drive NE)

People in the hood have a great park to experience fireworks on Canada Day. Tom Campbell’s Hill sits along St. George’s Drive and overlooks Memorial Drive and the converging Bow River and Nose Creek.

Max Bell Centre (1001 Barlow Trail SE)

Views from Max Bell Centre’s parking lot are great. Conveniently located off Deerfoot Trail in central south east Calgary, you can see downtown from a non-typical vantage point.
