WeWork is coming to Calgary and hosting a FREE Stampede pancake breakfast with new office tours

Jul 2 2019, 11:57 pm

Calgary’s highly-anticipated Stampede is kicking off this week, and we couldn’t be more excited.

From parades to concerts, food festivals to chuckwagon races, a carnival, and so much more, it’s easy to see why the Calgary Stampede is dubbed the “Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.” Wait, we forgot about something — pancake breakfast events.

These breakfasts are a huge part of the festivities, and on Monday, July 8  WeWork will be hosting a free Stampede pancake breakfast with a twist. The North American company offers workspaces for growing businesses and they’re set to open two locations in Downtown Calgary this December, at The Edison and 700 2 Street SW.

On July 8, head along to Edison’s Library to learn more about WeWork’s plans for Calgary as you connect with your new neighbours over breakfast and some drinks. While you’re there, you’ll also get an exclusive hard hat tour of the new space, WeWork at The Edison. But don’t forget to RSVP ahead of time to secure your spot.

The introduction of WeWork offices in Calgary means that you’ll be able to say goodbye to your current, cramped office space and join an innovative hub here in the city where you can grow your business. After all, WeWork has the kind of spaces that can inspire your people’s most meaningful and impactful work.

Plans that work

In 2016, WeWork opened its first location in Canada with an office in Montreal. Since then, the company has added offices in Toronto, Vancouver, and Burnaby — WeWork Canada now has more than 11,500 members.

You see, it’s all about reimagining the work experience, and that starts with the space that your company needs to thrive. WeWork offers a wide range of membership options to suit your needs from Office Suite plans for teams of over 25 people, to Private Offices and Shared Workspaces. To put productivity into perspective, 80% of WeWork members globally report increased productivity since joining WeWork.

The flexibility

The modern workday doesn’t always fit into the nine to five timeframe, and with most memberships at WeWork, you don’t have to worry about rushing to have your work finished at a certain time. Your business might work with clients in other countries, and if you need a desk at 10 pm or to book a conference room in Hong Kong, and with WeWork, your workspace can be as agile as you are.

Save on expenses

Whether your company is just starting out or if you’ve been operating for 10 years, having a way that you can save on expenses through your rent is hugely beneficial. Across all global markets, a company of four can save up to an average of $24,000 in one year on occupancy costs, over traditional commercial real estate.

So the money you’re saving on rent can be put into growing your business. To give you an idea, according to a WeWork survey, more than half (54%) of members around the world credit WeWork with accelerating their company’s growth.

The community

Every single day, there are social and professional events happening at WeWork locations to help you build a strong team culture. These events can help you unlock creativity and productivity, empowering you to focus on your people and their purpose.

Since there are 466,000 WeWork members around the world connecting, partnering, and supporting each other, joining can give your business more of a chance to survive than those who aren’t WeWork members. WeWork even helps support local businesses in new markets, too.

To celebrate the opening of WeWork in Calgary, you can get one month free when you sign up for a six-month membership. Visit WeWork for more information before you join.
