Open since 1950, this West Hillhurst restaurant tags themselves as being “homegrown and homemade.” Sourcing from local farmers and suppliers, Dairy Lane focuses on sustainability and community. Order a Benny or one of their playful breakfast tostadas.

Run by a duo of Alberta-born brothers, The Bro’kin Yolk (get it?) started sizzling up daytime eats in 2014. They’re open every day from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. serving eclectic fare with farm-to-table ingredients, like frittatas, breakfast poutine, four tantalizing Eggs Benny options, and sweet delights like Baked Apple Pie Waffle or French Toast Fondue.
