While Calgary has been treated to a beautiful and warm fall so far this year, the weather will be taking a turn in the next few weeks, according to the Weather Network.
Below freezing temperatures are predicted to return to Calgary come Wednesday, December 20 – just in time for the first official day of winter on December 21.
A 70% chance of snow is also in the cards for December 20, with a further chance of snow on the 22, 23, 24, and, most importantly, on Christmas Day.
Daily temperatures are also expected to drop to lows of -10°C in the days leading up to Christmas, and the nights may get as cold as -13°C.
Whether you see an end to the warm weather as a curse or a good thing, there’s still about a week to go of above freezing temperatures and sunny skies before winter truly arrives.
Enjoy it (or curse it) while you still can, Calgary!
