With construction beginning on January 4, Vin Room’s third location–at Calgary Airport’s new International Terminal–is slated to open late 2016.

Located past security, the 75-seat Vin Room will offer a selection of small bites, champagne, and wine by-the-glass.

According to Phoebe Fung, Vin Room’s Proprietor, Vin Room will be the world’s largest airport wine bar (featuring an Enomatic Wine Preservation System), with an impressive assembly of boutique wines from around the world on offer, 60 in fact.

Food options will be similar to those found in Vin Room’s other locations. Menu highlights will include lamb merguez and date meatballs, house-made crab cakes with turmeric coconut sauce, and lemongrass chicken meatballs.

The wine/tapas bar will also feature handy air travel necessities, like individual plug-ins, USB ports, and luggage spots. “The interior will be designed with a traveler’s comfort in mind,” says Fung. “I’m a traveler myself, so I worked with my designer to create an oasis for travellers before their long journey.”
