Vaisakhi Mela 2016 celebrates Calgary's Sikh community

A time for celebration for many Indians around the world, Vaisakhi is the festival that celebrates the founding of the Sikh community known as the Khalsa, the spring harvest, and is associated with the Indian New Year.

This cultural event is open for everyone and will feature dances, entertainment, food, henna painting, door prizes, and more. There will also be a Turban and hair braiding competition.

Booths can be rented to businesses for $100 and $75 for non-profit organizations.
