Calgary's newest chimney cake cafe is opening next week
Calgary’s newest chimney cake cafe is about to open its doors.
UTCA Chimney Cakes is set to open on Monday, November 13 in Victoria Park. The cafe’s grand opening starts at 6 am, and the new eatery announced that the first 10 chimney cakes they serve will be FREE.
This treat purveyor will offer signature trdelnik or chimney cakes (spit cake made from rolled dough traditionally topped with sugar and nuts) and will also feature coffee and warm beverages.
While there isn’t too much info available about this new spot’s menu, UTCA teased that there will be “several choices” to make their chimney cakes your dream treat.
We’re thinking chocolate, cinnamon, powdered sugar, almonds, and more.
This Hungarian street food has spiked in popularity over the past little while. You can also get these traditional treats at The Twisted Cafe at the Crossroads Farmers Market.
