A dazzling new residential complex is on its way for the University District, with the project offering hundreds of units to rent in Calgary.

The community in Calgary’s northwest is on its way to getting a new residential complex, called Academy, with the purpose-built rental project expected to offer a total of 222 one-, two-, and three-bedroom units ranging from 650 to 900 square feet.

Construction is currently underway on the new development located at the corner of Kovitz Avenue and McLaurin Street NW, and residents are set to take possession by early 2027.

The building will feature a range of amenities, including a residents’ lounge, pet spa, fitness centre, and bike storage room.

“University District continues to evolve as a dynamic and vibrant community. With the addition of Academy, we are continuing to expand our rental portfolio in the community,” said Novy Cheema, president and CEO of the University of Calgary Properties Group.
