With the food banks coming into their busiest season yet, help from everyone is gladly welcomed and one Calgary man has opted to help them in a unique way.

An Uber driver, Mike West, has deiced to donate his earnings, after the court’s temporary injunction against Uber drivers, to the food bank, according to Metro.

Able to raise $500, West pledged to give it to charity on behalf of himself and other Uber drivers that have been forced to stop picking up passengers.

West explained to Metro that he is all about the community and that he found it pleasant to work with people.

He choose the food bank as recipient because he and his family had previously used the food bank, and now he is able to give back.

West is hoping that his pledge will spark other taxi drivers to also support Uber through the simple act of donating.
