Two McDonald’s restaurants have closed their doors after learning about employees who tested positive for COVID-19.

On April 20, a staff member working at the McDonald’s located at 10 250 Shawville Boulevard SE in Calgary reported they had tested positive for coronavirus.

The employee’s last shift was on April 15 from 2 to 10 pm.

The second McDonald’s employee who has tested positive for coronavirus worked at the chain’s 153 Walden Gate SE location in Calgary.

That staff member’s last shift was on April 17 from 5 to 11 pm.

These locations have now been shut down for thorough cleaning and sanitation. The restaurants will re-open once direction has been given by Alberta Health Services to do so.

All crew members who may have been in close contact with the employees have been asked to self-quarantine until further information is available.

McDonald’s Canada is asking for any guests who may have visited the Shawville Boulevard restaurant on April 15 and the Walden Gate restaurant on April 17 to take directions from the experts at Alberta Health Services.
